THE PROPERTY
The 500+ acres span the height of land between the Pacific Ocean 25 miles to the west and the Sea of Cortez 10 miles to the east. The high mesa top slopes toward the sea, with several long 'fingers' that extend out toward town with panoramic 180 degree views. At the base of the mesa, the land includes part of the "Llano de la Virgen" or "The Virgin Plain", which is an area of deep, rich soil, ideal for organic orchards of citrus, papaya, and mangos with abundant, clear water underground that is some of the best water in Baja.
Mesa Verde is an oasis of undisturbed inland desert and high mesas with copious indigenous vegetation and wildlife. On any given day, the property enjoys the visit of jackrabbits, “bruna” deer , a unique variety of bird species, coyotes, wild horses and other native animals. It has a rich diversity of savannah and desert plants that make for a very unique setting. The height of land ridge runs through the middle of the property, offering numerous areas with tremendous views of the sea and the entire city of La Paz is visible at night like a sea of lights.
The Property – Location
Located less than half an hour drive to La Paz and the International Airport, and only ten minutes from Highway #1, the main highway to San Diego, California & Los Cabos. This area is only 6 miles from the planned location of a new bi-pass highway around La Paz to the airport, and will provide a good alternate and shorter route both to the city and the airport.
The La Paz International Airport is only 25 minutes from the property with the western outskirts of the city only 15 minutes away. Most of the property provides vast vistas of both the Sea of Cortez and the city of La Paz.
